1974 BMW 3.0 CS Automatic, 2 owner CA Car! This is a fabulous, very original 2 owner local Bay Area 1974 BMW 3.0 CS US specification non-sunroof coupe. The car was sold new here on the Peninsula and has lived with only two owners. Current mileage is 106k miles. The present owner consigning the car knew the first owner since the car was initially purchased from the local dealer in 1974. The original Granatrot-Metallic paint was re-sprayed 14 years ago and a very nice job was done: it appears all trim, and molding was removed. The paint work is extremely nice, and clearly great care was made in its application. There are no sanding marks or overspray. The car has never suffered any accidents or body repair. There are no signs of any rust what so ever. Given a 14 year old tenure it is excellent with only two small scratches. The car has been garaged all its life. The engine and transmission were re-built here locally in 2005 and the car has had very few miles since. The 3.0 six runs perfectly. All functions on the car work: Air Conditioning, power windows, wipers, all lights, etc. Brakes are excellent and the car drives smoothly and automatic transmission shifts crisply. Interior is all original with only the passenger seat bottom cushion leather re-done: the leather, headliner, wood, plastic, carpet, and inside metal and chrome are absolutely superb! There are no cracks in the dash, no stains on the headliner, and the carpets are almost perfect. The wood trim is unbelievably nice and all original. Both Glove Box and the Compartment hiding the hood release fit well and the latches work properly. A full manual set and all the tools in the trunk are with the car. The car also includes a custom car cover. Tires are Firestone, with good tread, but are not new. Brakes have sufficient lining on all pads. This is an extremely original and very nice 3.0 CS BMW, excellent service history, superb mechanically and cosmetically.
