1973 Porsche 914 2.0
Here is a very nice surviving Porsche 914 with the desirable 2.0 litre motor. This is a well looked after and nice running 914 showing 83k miles which looks to be accurate. This little Porsche drives extremely well. The engine is strong with no smoke, transmission is smooth, clutch take up very nice, and brakes are excellent. All electrics and lights work and the interior is in very nice shape throughout.
Many updates have been done on the car in 2003 including: new battery tray, motor mounts, front and rear shocks, stainless heat exchangers, plus new muffler and new fuel injectors. The car is regularly serviced and has been tuned and the valves are adjusted. Tires are good and it sits on 8 Spoke "Empi" alloy rims.
Paint and exterior are in nice shape although there are small scratches and a few small dings. Paint was done to original color and done prior to my client's ownership beginning in 2003. Body panel fit is decent on front hood, excellent on doors and rear deck lid, the only exceptions being the headlight buckets are not well fitted, and the seam between the front bumper and front body panel is not even across the front. The car is quite sound with no rust: the battery box is repaired, but there is no evidence of any corrosion bellow the box, and floor boards and inside boot corners under lights are excellent (see photos.) There are one or two very small paint bubbles near the front "A" pillar windshield frame and on the whole the car is very sound! The fiberglass top is in nice condition. Bumper rubber is in decent shape as is door and window trim. Seats, Carpet (not OEM type) and Dash and Console are extremely nice all gauges were cleaned and refurbished by Rennwerke and are excellent.
This is not a concourse 914, but a very sound example and in excellent running and working order. This 914 has been consigned for sale to Driveline by its owner.
